The Installation of Telemetry System for Real-Time Discharge
Monitoring at 27 Key Sites on the Indus Basin Irrigation System
(IBIS) is an ambitious initiative commissioned by the WAPDA.
Spanning locations across Pakistan, this project aims to enhance
water resource management by deploying a modern SCADA Telemetry
System to accurately measure and monitor flows in real time. The
scope includes the design, manufacturing, transportation,
installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced flow
measurement equipment at 27 strategic sites alongside
comprehensive civil works and the creation of both a central and
multiple site-level data centers. By providing precise,
continuous data on water discharge, the system empowers key
stakeholders such as IRSA and WAPDA to make informed operational
decisions, optimize water distribution, and promote sustainable
irrigation practices that support agriculture and livelihoods
across the region
